Poker Stars Review - Join Today!
PokerStars is the first site I am going to review in my series of online poker room reviews and it is a case of first being the best. It is the largest of all online poker rooms, meaning you can always find games and is a pure delight for multi-tablers like myself. The room is backed by numerous professional players and its reputation in the poker community is second to none. Whether you are into tournaments or cash games, PokerStars is the place you should get started.
The skill level of the players varies greatly, being the most popular poker site it attracts the most novice players, but in turn that attracts the best players. From my experience though, a solid player should have no trouble at all beating these games.
The software is excellent, there are some many tweaks and modifications you can make to suit your needs. Personally, I enjoy the different themes, tabling re-sizing and sorting, the ability play on faster tables with shorter player time banks and the ability to filter the lobby for my game selection needs.
Customer support is pretty solid, wouldn’t say that it is outstanding, but they do their job. The cashier facility is fast and efficient and their frequent player points (FPP) store is the best going around. PokerStars lacks the bonuses and rakeback of other sites, but it makes up for it with its FPP store.

Cake Poker Review - Join Today!
CakePoker is a hidden gem for the most part. When people think of sites that allow US players they mostly think of PokerStars, FTP, Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker. Cake Poker is open for US business though and is a great place for US players to find softer competition. Cake Poker has no Poker Tracker support you see and software that is somewhat difficult to multi-table on. For that reason, the players there are generally pretty horrible. That being said there are a few good regulars who are seizing this opportunity. Of course if you are a serial multi-tabler then Cake Poker isn’t really ideal for the reasons I mentioned.
Their bonuses and rakeback are really great and you can pretty much be rewarded for playing all year round. They also have a number of promotions such as refer a friend and gold card lottery. Like a lot of other sites you can also cash in your points in the Cake Store for cool merchandise.
