I guess I got it in my head that this guy was ultra passive after that set over set hand. It was pretty much an insta-pot bet, which threw me a little. Obviously there are a lot of draws out there, but there are also a few hands in his range that have me crushed. Folding feels weak, raising feels spewy, I have position and a solid image (meaning I think he will slow down if he has a draw or a weaker pair), so I decide to call and plan to fold if he shows strength on the turn.

He does check to me, I should have followed through on my plans bet here right? If so, how much?

I can’t see what worse hands he calls me with if I value bet. Given that he nearly timed out calling the river with a set in my other hand with him, I think he is laying down a decent pair of jacks and lower here.

While my post-flop play in this hand kept the pot relatively small and got me to showdown, I don’t feel like I played optimally. Appreciate your thoughts…
