AK Misses, Donked Into… I Wants The Bluffness

Villain is 21/1/2.3. Curious line and slight overbet out of the villain on such a dry board. If he has a set or weirdly played big pair why wouldn’t he check/raise? So I’m thinking his range is heavily weighted towards 5-77, 99-TT, maybe like some random small aces, wheel draws… and other random holdings. Am I stupid for thinking this guy is ever folding anything if I jam?

  • I play micros so my opinion is probably not the most educated. As you mentioned, his range would include suited connectors like 78s, possibly one-gappers with top pair as well. By shoving or 3betting, you are representing an overpair. He may flat call a reraise and then bet-fold turn or at least give you a free river.

I would think a shove on the flop would get called.

  • Raising here will almost pot commit you as a 3-1 dog.

He is probably bad enough to stack off with a pair of eights here, so I would just fold.

  • First time I see this from Villain, I fold. He’ll do this again to give a read as to what he’s up to and next time its stackaments!
