KK Hand – Interesting Turn Card

Villain is 9/9/8.0 over 200 hands. Here are my thoughts by street.

Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold’em Cash Game, 9 Players

BB: $34.30
UTG: $190.40
UTG+1: $106.55
UTG+2: $37.50
MP1: $117.95
Hero (MP2): $100
CO: $98.90
BTN: $78.25
SB: $33.20

Pre-Flop: K K dealt to Hero (MP2)
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $4, 2 folds, Hero raises to $14, 4 folds, UTG+1 calls $10

His stats indicate he is a pretty solid opener, he is probably raising all pocket pairs, and his big aces UTG+1. He tanked a litle before calling the 3-bet. When he calls the 3-bet I figure his range is probably something like TT+, AQs+.

Flop: ($29.50) T 8 2 (2 Players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $21, UTG+1 calls $21

He check/calls the flop, I think he does this with all his pairs, he can’t have AK, the only non-pair hand I see him calling here is AQ (although I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t check/raise).

Turn: ($71.50) J (2 Players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks

Now I am trailing JJ, all I am ahead of are QQ an oddly played AQ. There is no sense in firing here, I feel like I am behind his range.

equity     win     tie           pots won     pots tied
Hand 0:     34.318%      31.82%     02.50%                280            22.00   { KcKs }
Hand 1:     65.682%      63.18%     02.50%                556            22.00   { TT+, AcQc }

If the turn had blanked I probably would have bet and stacked off because giving him the same range I’m 57%

River: ($71.50) 7 (2 Players)
UTG+1 bets $20, Hero calls $20

Obviously getting like crazy pot odds to call, only need to be good 20% of the time, easy call, no sense in raising given our read on his range.
