Last night I stayed in a five star hotel for the first time ever. It was Emmy’s birthday during the week and she wanted to go into the city and stay at a fancy hotel. We meet up with a few people and went bowling and drinking. The room wasn’t all that special but the views that it provided were amazing. We had pretyt much a 180 degree view of Melbourne’s heart, as depicted in the photos below.
The big building is the Eureka Tower, named after me of course. Further along the Yarra River is Crown Casino, where the Aussie Millions is held each January.
The Art’s Centre spire, with Port Phillip Bay in the background.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground, where the 1956 Olympic Games were held as well as numerous other major sporting events. Current capacity is around 97,000 people.
