Flopped Set Shoved Into On River By Donk

Villain is 40/0/0.8 over 30 hands. He has been playing very passively, there was one hand where I raised in the CO, he flat called from blinds and flat called my cbet on a very dry flop, I then checked down turn and river and he showed AA.

In this hand he snap called both the flop and turn raises and then snap shoved the river. 3 to 1 is a pretty decent price vs a donk with a set, but the river card is just about the worst in the deck… call?

  • no lol. flush is never in his range here. he might have QQ/TT but he’s equally likely to have AA/KK (not literally equally obv since latter more likely given flop). only other hand u care about is AKh or AJh n these flopped so huge that even fish like him would shove oop on the flop. u beat nething else in his range including AQ QK etc

  • Results: He had 88 😐

Which I think vindicates calling :)

  • yeah well you have to pay off the turned or rivered set every time. check out my blog too please i’m from sydney!
