I went along upon the invitation of my grandpa to the Melbourne Cricket Club’s lunch for it’s 50-year members, of which he is one. I had to get suited up for the occasion, which is becoming a rare event these days. The lunch was held in the Member’s Dining Room, which I hadn’t been into before, despite being a member. The guest speaker was former Geelong player Barry Stoneham. I was easily the youngest person in the room, which was a little awkward, but everyone was very nice to me.
