Sunday, A Day of Rest

I am in the hotel lobby right now punching out this blog on my laptop. It’s 4PM and room service is only just now doing my room. I thought I’d get out of their way and come down here and test for wireless hot spots, no luck so far. Today I tried to have a relaxing day as possible. My original plan was to go and play at Commerce Casino today, but it is a fair hike to get there, two trains and a bus, and I couldn’t face it on a slow Sunday timetable.

There really isn’t much to write about today, in the late morning I went to the supermarket to get some supplies and had lunch down there. When I got back I went straight to the gym and spent a good hour in there, for once I didn’t feel restricted because I hadn’t been walking all day. I then sat by the pool for a couple of hours doing suduko, more accurately learning how to do karoku. I had a quick swim dried off and returned to my room to find housekeeping so I came down here. The hotel seems to be quite popular for weddings, the lobby is populated with guests from one right now. Earlier in the week there were a couple of Jewish weddings as well. You may have seen the photos of the turtles and fish in my gallery the other day. There is a nice courtyard outside where they have the big fish pond and fountains and that’s where the weddings are held.

Tomorrow I am going to head into downtown LA for the first time. There, I will be checking out Chinatown, Union Station, City Hall, Dodger Stadium and the Staples Center hopefully. I’m not sure whether there is a game on at Dodger Stadium tomorrow, but I just want to be able to say I’ve seen it. Tonight, I’ll just be having a quiet night in, playing some online poker and watching Sunday Night Baseball, a ritual I am loving at the moment.
